Ogun, DP World sign $7bn-plus MoUs for Deep Seaport, Blue Marine SEZ

The Ogun State Government and DP World MEA FZE have signed MoUs for the development of the Gateway Deep Sea Port and the Blue Marine Special Economic Zone, with over $7 billion in initial investment and more than 50,000 direct jobs expected. President Bola Tinubu attended the signing in Paris alongside the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the Nigerian Ports Authority DG, Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho. The projects aim to address infrastructure and logistics challenges, with the port featuring a four-kilometre berth and an 18-metre draft to handle larger vessels, and the zone supporting manufacturing and export industries, boosting Nigeria’s non-oil exports.
