Ogun State Government has suspended Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom in Yewa North Local Government Area, with immediate effect over alleged involvement in partisan political activities. Approved by the State Executive Council under the 2021 Ogun State Obas and Chiefs Law, the suspension will remain in place while an official investigation examines several complaints. Akinyemi was ordered to leave the palace, stop presenting himself as Eselu or using royal regalia, and make himself available for government hearings.
