Ogun transport workers seek Abiodun’s help to avert looming crisis

Transport sector stakeholders in Ogun State, operating under the Ogun State Parks Management (PAM), warn that politically motivated changes to park management could spark violence. In a petition, leaders from the central district say Ogun East has five transport unions while Ogun Central has just one operational structure, which they allege is at risk of being transferred to Ogun East. They caution that the move could trigger clashes between rival groups, disrupt passenger and goods transport, and threaten the livelihoods of thousands of operators. They urge Governor Dapo Abiodun and senior APC figures to intervene as the state approaches another election cycle.
