Okene Anglican Diocese explains ‘ban’ on immediate burials

The Diocese of Okene clarified its recent resolution setting a minimum two-week period before burial arrangements, stating it does not apply to families of deceased persons whose children are 'truly incapacitated.' The resolution aims to allow members to prepare appropriate burial programs and to assure that there are no adverse consequences related to embalming. It was adopted to give time for children living abroad to return for the funerals of their aged parents.
