Olympic champion Imane Khelif to make professional boxing debut in December

Algerian Olympic champion Imane Khelif will make her professional debut in Paris on December 15 against Clarida Sarabia in the super-welterweight class. The 27-year-old has not fought since winning welterweight gold at the Paris 2024 Olympics and had to postpone a planned return in April after a training injury. Her coach, Kamel Abdesselam, believes she could win a world title within three to five fights. Khelif said the past two years had been difficult and that she had missed being in the ring.
