A cluster of smaller countries, including Oman and Kazakhstan, is emerging as unlikely drivers of Kenya's tea export growth. In 2025, exports to Oman surged by 320.14% to 17.77 million kilograms, while those to Kazakhstan rose by 186.92% to 24.44 million kilograms. This shift is partly driven by geopolitical instability and the reconfiguration of trade corridors.
