Ondo govt bans sales of unverified alcohol after 'Monkey Tail' kills 30

The Ondo State Government has banned the sale and distribution of unverified alcoholic drinks following the death of 30 people and the hospitalization of 50 others after consuming a local herbal alcoholic mixture known as 'monkey tail'. Commissioner for Information, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, stated that the measure is necessary to prevent further deaths. Authorities also warned residents against purchasing unapproved alcoholic products and directed sellers to immediately cease the sale of substances with unverifiable sources.
