One dead and others injured in multiple accidents across Lagos

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) responded to three incidents from Friday evening through Saturday morning. In Maryland, a Toyota Camry driver suspected of driving under the influence crashed into a Toyota Venza that had stopped by the roadside; the Camry driver was injured, while a broken-down truck in Mushin blocked part of the road without causing casualties. In Epe, brake failure on a granite-loaded tipper truck led to a collision, killing the first truck’s motor assistant and injuring another person. LASEMA urged motorists to maintain their vehicles, avoid driving under the influence of alcohol and follow road-safety rules.
