One million school kits: the students benefiting from government aid

The Senegalese government plans to distribute over one million school kits for the 2026-2027 school year, benefiting 741,305 students across initiation classes (CI), sixth grade, and second grade. The kits include notebooks, pens, backpacks, slates, and geometric supplies, aiming to reduce families' expenses. The distribution, managed by the Ministry of National Education, faces challenges related to beneficiary selection, logistics, and timely delivery to remote schools.
