One of the few remaining Douglas DC-8 planes veers off the runway at Kinshasa Airport in DR Congo

A Douglas DC-8, registered as 9S-AJO and operated by Trans Air Cargo Service, was involved in an incident at N’Djili International Airport in Kinshasa on September 8, 2026, veering off the runway during landing. The 56-year-old aircraft is one of the last DC-8s still in commercial service.
