Ongoing 740KM Isiolo-Mandera Highway to be Completed by 2030, Transport Ministry Announces

Kenya's Ministry of Roads and Transport has announced that the 740km Isiolo-Mandera highway will be completed by 2030, pushing back the original deadline of January 31, 2028. Project coordinator James Theuri stated that the strategic corridor, financed by the World Bank and African Development Bank, aims to boost Northern Kenya's economy and improve digital connectivity with 1,000 km of fiber optic cable. The World Bank approved an additional Ksh37 billion for the Ksh168 billion project.
