Orangutans in danger as wildfires blaze through Indonesia

Wildfires in Indonesia have destroyed part of the habitat of hundreds of orangutans, threatening their survival. Karmele Llano Sanchez, CEO of the Yayasan Inisiasi Alam Rehabilitasi Indonesia foundation, stated that the situation is critical, leaving the orangutans without food or water. A weak orangutan was found in Ketapang and will be moved to a rehabilitation center for treatment before being released back into the wild.
