Special needs schools in Osun State remain closed due to a delay in reopening caused by funding shortages. The government stated it lacks sufficient funds to provide boarding and feeding for students in schools located in Osogbo, Ilesa, and Iwo. Education Commissioner Dipo Eluwole explained that the delay is due to the non-release of local government allocations by the Federal Government and urged Nigerians to help secure the funds. Local officials emphasized that students should not return until their welfare can be assured.
