Ousmane Sonko, former Prime Minister and current President of the National Assembly, stated that the issue of debt was never discussed in the Council of Ministers during his tenure. During a general policy statement, he revealed that he had access to an economic memorandum developed with the IMF, specifying that discussions on debt were conducted in a small circle. He also mentioned that meetings were initially held at the Prime Minister's office before continuing at the Presidency.
