‘Outrageous lies’: How Israeli voters are shrugging off Western sanctions

Israeli politicians reacted with anger to sanctions imposed by countries such as the UK, France, and Canada regarding illegal settlements in the West Bank. Despite these sanctions and accusations of ethnic cleansing, a majority of Jewish Israelis support the war in Gaza and the occupation of the West Bank. An August poll showed that more than half of Jewish Israelis support retaining the settlements in any future agreement with Palestinians.
