'Over 1,500 persons still missing in Yobe'

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is following up on over 1,500 missing persons cases in Yobe State. Syed Rashid Hassan, head of the ICRC Sub-Delegation in Damaturu, stated that these cases are part of more than 17,000 missing-person cases being tracked across Nigeria. More than half of those reported missing were children at the time of their disappearance. The ICRC is collaborating with the Nigerian Red Cross Society and other stakeholders to reunite families and clarify the fate of missing persons.
