Over 2,000 families displaced in precarious humanitarian situation in Walikale and Kalehe

Nearly 2,350 displaced families are living in precarious conditions in Lukaraba in North Kivu and Hombo Sud in South Kivu, according to CFR RDC. In Lukaraba, families fleeing violence in several localities live in makeshift shelters and have needs for food, healthcare, household items, and protection. In Hombo Sud, the local hospital is overwhelmed by the influx of sick and injured people, requiring increased support. CFR RDC urges authorities and humanitarian actors to strengthen aid, focusing on food, hygiene kits, nutritional care, and protection of vulnerable groups such as women, girls, and children.
