Over 40,000 displaced due to fighting between AFC/M23 and Wazalendo at the border of North and South Kivu

Violent clashes between AFC-M23 rebels and Wazalendo fighters erupted on April 8 in the territories of Masisi and Kalehe, leading to the displacement of over 40,000 people towards Walikale. The hostilities began in Tushunguti and spread to several villages, causing the Kaholo bridge to collapse.
