Over 5,000 ex-militia members demobilized in 4 years in DRC, according to PDDRCS

The Disarmament, Demobilization, Community Recovery and Stabilization Program (PDDRCS) announced that 5,605 ex-militia members have been demobilized in four years in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. During this period, over 1,200 weapons, 5,000 ammunition, and 50 explosives were recovered. National coordinator Jean de Dieu Désiré Ntanga Ntita presented five strategic axes for conflict resolution and restoring state authority.
