Oyedele denies admitting errors in tax laws, faults ‘misleading’ reports

The Minister of State for Finance, Taiwo Oyedele, dismissed reports claiming he admitted to errors in Nigeria's new tax reform laws, describing the publications as 'misleading'. In a statement, he clarified that his comments at a recent Nigerian Bar Association conference had been taken out of context. Oyedele emphasized that the tax laws had already been finalized and that gazetted copies had been published since January 2026.
