Oyo Court restrains Govt from appointing new Aresaadu of Iresaadu

An Oyo State High Court has restrained the Oyo State Government from appointing a new Aresaadu of Iresaadu, stating that the throne is not vacant. Judge K.A. Adedokun ruled in favor of Oba Abraham Adeyeye Oyerinde, the current Aresaadu, who sought the injunction to protect his rights. The court also barred the ruling houses and kingmakers from nominating or approving any candidate for the position until the final determination of the case.
