Yemeni Government Forces Claim Control of Strategic al-Jawf Mountain Range

Yemeni government forces, backed by fighter jets and drones, say they advanced into the al-Dahida mountain range in eastern al-Jawf and seized Houthi fortifications, weapons and military equipment. France: US Warns Its Citizens About November 5 Protests

On November 4, the United States advised its citizens to avoid demonstrations and large gatherings in France ahead of the November 5 national strike, expected to affect transport, education, health care and public services. Emmanuel Macron condemned the violence and asked Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez to ensure full transparency about the security forces’ response.

The anniversary comes amid the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28, which killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and disrupted energy markets and shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani and judiciary chief Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejehi portrayed US setbacks in the war and midterm elections as defeats inflicted by Iran.
