Benin: With SEMO+, Proof of Mission Relies on Geolocation and Fingerprint

Beninese public agents can now verify their presence on a mission using the SEMO+ app by sharing their location and confirming their identity with a fingerprint, eliminating the need for paper procedures. The process involves biometric validation either through fingerprint scanning or via biometric kiosks equipped with a biometric ID card, with automatic recording of their geographic position. This initiative follows the introduction of electronic payment for mission expenses across all public administrations, announced on September 25, 2026.
