The Nigerian Army says it neutralised six suspected ISWAP/JAS fighters in an ambush along the Targejeri axis in Borno State on October 25. Troops also arrested six suspects in a follow-up operation in Benisheikh on October 24, bringing the total number of suspected collaborators detained in the investigation to 11. In Gwoza, a JAS member surrendered with an AK-47 rifle and ammunition after escaping from a terrorist enclave in the Mandara Mountains. The suspects and the defector are in military custody for investigation and processing.
