Edo committee sets Sept 20 deadline for sachet gin dealers

The Edo State Consumer Protection Committee has given sachet gin dealers until September 20, 2026, to stop selling the products or face legal consequences. This decision followed a meeting with representatives of beverage dealers' associations. Although the unions requested an extension to December 30, the committee granted a grace period until September 20 to return existing stocks to manufacturers.
