Pakistan appeals to Trump to extend deadline, Iran to reopen Hormuz Strait

Pakistan has made an appeal to US President Donald Trump to extend the deadline for an Iran deal by two weeks and to Tehran to open the Strait of Hormuz during that time. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that diplomatic efforts to resolve the ongoing war in the Middle East are progressing. He also urged all warring parties to observe a ceasefire to allow diplomacy to succeed.
