Pakistan deploys armed forces to Saudi Arabia for territorial defense

Pakistan has deployed a substantial number of armed forces to Saudi Arabia for defensive purposes following massive Houthi airstrikes against Saudi targets, including Riyadh airport, which resulted in three deaths. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Sajjad Haider Khan, confirmed the regular deployment of Pakistani forces in Saudi Arabia since the 1980s, after a bilateral agreement in 2025. In August, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey signed a defense pact committing to mutual assistance in case of attack.
