Pakistan says 22 fighters killed in air attacks on Afghanistan

Pakistan launched air strikes in Afghanistan targeting camps and hideouts used by armed groups in two locations, killing an estimated 22 fighters. The Pakistani Ministry of Information announced the operations, while Kabul accused Islamabad of killing at least nine women and children in attacks on Kunar and Helmand provinces. Zabihullah Mujahid, Afghanistan's government spokesman, stated that three houses were destroyed and condemned the strikes as aggression. The attacks come amid escalating tensions after three months of relative calm, with Pakistan accusing Kabul of harboring armed groups including Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
