Palantir AI probe leads to Met Police volunteer chief's dismissal

The head of the Metropolitan Police's Volunteer Officers, James Deller, was dismissed after an investigation using Palantir's AI technology uncovered that he had used his work phone to copy intimate images of a woman. The misconduct was discovered during Project Galatasaray, which aimed to identify corruption and misconduct within the force. Deller had taken photos of two images sent via WhatsApp's 'view once' feature in July and August 2025, then sent them to his personal device before deleting them from his work phone. He will be added to the College of Policing's barred list, preventing him from serving in policing again.
