Palestinians are opening their doors to the displaced of besieged Hebron

After an attack on a military checkpoint in Farsh Al-Hawa on Friday killed two Israeli soldiers and wounded others, Israeli forces locked down Hebron and launched a sweeping military operation. More than 2,000 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced; city officials say nearly half are children, alongside 81 pregnant women and 204 elderly people. Palestinian authorities in Hebron declared a state of emergency and formed a crisis group involving government agencies, the private sector and civil society to assist those forced to flee.
