Palestinians dream of returning home after Israel raids West Bank camps

Since January 2025, Israel launched a military operation in the West Bank called 'Iron Wall,' targeting the Jenin, Tulkarem, and Nur Shams refugee camps. During this operation, thousands of Palestinians were forcibly displaced, with over 33,000 still in exile according to UNRWA, and many structures in these camps damaged or destroyed. Israeli forces killed 102 Palestinians, including 21 children, during this period, while humanitarian aid was cut off and critical infrastructure was damaged. Displaced from Tulkarem, Fuad Abu Salam observes the destroyed camp from his apartment in Thinnabeh, holding onto the hope of returning home someday.
