Parcelles Assainies Unit 4 Mosque: Thief Caught on Camera

A man forced his way into the Unit 4 mosque in Dakar’s Parcelles Assainies late at night this weekend and left with the cash box. Surveillance footage shows someone familiar with the premises and with objects that could help him open the box. Residents say the mosque had been burgled three times before surveillance cameras were installed. The stolen money was meant to cover electricity, water and cleaning costs, and mosque officials are asking the public to help identify the thief.
