PCN seals 430 illegal drug outlets, pharmacies in Yobe

The Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) sealed 430 pharmaceutical premises in Yobe State during a four-day operation. Of the 601 inspected premises, 50% were found to be illegal, including 300 unregistered outlets, 267 Patent Medicine Vendor stores, and 34 pharmacies. Suleiman Chiroma, the Head of Enforcement, expressed concerns over low compliance, with only 41% of pharmacies meeting regulatory standards.
