Gabon: a man arrested with cannabis hidden in peanut bags

Georges Mapessi, 30, was arrested in Port-Gentil on August 26 by the Central Office for Drug Control of Ogooué-Maritime. During a search of his home, ten 'thighs' of cannabis were discovered. Mapessi admitted to owning the seized goods, claiming he was unaware of their contents until he opened them two weeks after receiving them. A former colleague, Jessy Mambougou Babissa, is also implicated in this case.
