Group demands end to checkpoint extortion, prolonged detention in S-East

The group Oganihu, made up of Igbo professionals and citizens, has called for an end to extortion and abuses at checkpoints in the South-East. It demanded greater accountability from security agencies and urged citizens to document abuses. Oganihu expressed concerns about the proliferation of checkpoints and the prolonged detention of citizens, while calling for an immediate audit of all checkpoints across the five South-East states.
