Pensioners to Tinubu: We’re yet to get subsidy palliative arrears of ₦75,000

The Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP) has expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of payment of the approved subsidy palliatives amounting to ₦75,000 per pensioner. Despite the announcement of this measure in October 2023, no member of the union has received payment, worsening the economic hardships faced by pensioners. The NUP has called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene so that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office can commence payments.
