People can support candidates of their choice - Akpabio on Amupitan's alleged digital footprint

Senate President Godswill Akpabio responded to allegations regarding the past social media activities of Joash Amupitan, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Akpabio stated that Amupitan, who was merely a lecturer at the time, had the right to personal political preferences. He also emphasized that individuals in sensitive public positions must act in the interest of the entire country and maintain neutrality.
