Peter Obi Will Win Presidential Election by a Landslide, Former Rep Uko Nkole Predicts

Uko Nkole, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) senatorial candidate for Abia North, predicted a landslide victory for Peter Obi in Nigeria’s 2027 presidential election, citing his economic record, national appeal and popularity among young people. Speaking at a debate in Umuahia, Nkole criticized the ruling APC’s economic policies and vowed to unseat incumbent senator Orji Uzor Kalu. His Abia North agenda includes reviving 217 primary healthcare centres, intervening in 415 public schools and attracting 1,000 federal jobs for young people. Other candidates outlined their pledges, while the Correspondents’ Chapel chairman urged the electoral commission to improve transparency, logistics and journalist safety during the election.
