Petrol at N1,350 cheaper in Nigeria than neighbouring countries — Dangote

Aliko Dangote, President of Dangote Group, stated that petrol priced at N1,350 in Nigeria is 30 to 50 percent cheaper than in neighboring countries, encouraging cross-border smuggling. He noted that in Niger, petrol costs 20 to 25 percent more than in Nigeria, making it financially attractive for smugglers. Dangote emphasized that this price difference creates opportunities for traders to achieve instant profits by selling petrol across borders.
