Petrol: NLC demands wage awards, crude supply in naira for local refineries

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called on the government to approve wage awards for workers to mitigate the impact of rising petroleum product prices, which have deepened poverty among the populace. In a statement, President Joe Ajaero expressed concerns about fuel prices reaching up to N1,430 in major cities and urged for an expansion of national storage capacity to address energy emergencies. The NLC also emphasized that the government should subsidize citizens' needs during emergency situations.
