Pezeshkian says Iran ‘no longer trusts talks with Washington’

Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian told Al Jazeera that Iran no longer trusts negotiations with the United States after previous talks were followed by attacks and sanctions. He said Iran is awaiting a response to its latest proposal to end the war. Pezeshkian also stated that Iran and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi proposed a deal to end the US-Israel war on Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days, including US lifting its naval blockade, waiving sanctions, releasing frozen assets, and observing regional ceasefires.
