Heavy rains over several days have caused flooding in Bangkok, inundating homes and roads, affecting around 52,000 households and evacuating nearly 4,900 people to shelters. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration declared a disaster and is working to drain floodwaters, with more rain forecasted. Governor Chadchart Sittipunt warned that several roads remain flooded and that the flooding should recede once the rain stops. Over 330mm of rain fell in some areas between Thursday and Sunday.
