Pink October: Launch of Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Campaign in DRC

The Democratic Republic of Congo's Ministry of Health, with support from the World Bank and Roche, launched on October 1 a screening campaign for breast and cervical cancer in six provinces, targeting 912,000 women. The program will continue until 2028, with 5,000 women in Kinshasa receiving free breast cancer screening. Health authorities urge women to get screened even without symptoms for early detection and prevention.
