Plane hits pedestrian during take off

A Frontier Airlines flight aborted its takeoff from Denver International Airport after striking a pedestrian on the runway at around 11:19 PM Friday. The pedestrian was reportedly partially consumed by one of the engines, and at least one passenger suffered minor injuries. The pilots reported a brief engine fire that was quickly extinguished, and passengers were safely evacuated via slides. The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified, and runway 17L will remain closed during the investigation.
