Plateau advocacy groups oppose the suggestion of a state of emergency

The good governance advocacy group, One Plateau, One Voice, has rejected calls for declaring a state of emergency in Plateau State amid ongoing violent attacks for over twenty years. The Hausa-Fulani Unity group had demanded the federal government disband Operation Rainbow and remove the DSS director in the state. Nanzing from One Plateau, One Voice emphasized that efforts should focus on strengthening security and restoring stability, as a state of emergency would not address the longstanding insecurity issues.
