Plateau JNI denies establishment of Hisbah

The Plateau State chapter of Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has denied allegations that a Muslim organization has established a religious and moral enforcement group, the Hisbah, in Jos North. Governor Caleb Mutfwang also rejected this claim and ordered an immediate halt to the group's activities. JNI secretary Dr. Salim Musa Umar clarified that no Islamic organization intends to establish the Hisbah in the state, emphasizing that such a move would require legislation from the State House of Assembly.
