Plateau killings: End cycle of attacks, reprisals now - Amnesty urges authorities

Amnesty International Nigeria has called on Nigerian authorities to do more to end the frequent attacks and reprisals in parts of Plateau State, including Barkin Ladi, Bokkos, Riyom, and Mangu. The organization criticized the authorities' failure to protect residents, noting that over 1,336 people were killed between December 2023 and February 2024, with ongoing violence into 2025 and 2026. It urged the government to strengthen security and ensure justice for victims, warning that impunity is encouraging continued violence.
