Police confirm Boko Haram attack on Borno APC gov candidate's convoy

The Borno State Police Command confirmed the attack by Boko Haram terrorists on the convoy of Mustapha Gubio, the APC governorship candidate, on Thursday. The incident occurred along the Gubio-Kareto-Damasak highway while the convoy was returning from a thank-you visit to APC members. Although the terrorists used improvised explosive devices and rocket-propelled grenades, the attack was repelled with no casualties reported among security forces or civilians.
