Police Officer Who Reportedly Served in Haiti Among Five Killed in Isiolo Attack

A senior police officer, who had recently returned to Kenya after serving in Haiti, was killed in a suspected bandit attack in Gotu, Isiolo County. The attack occurred while a team was attempting to recover the body of an elderly man who had been missing. In total, five people, including two police officers and three civilians, were killed in the incident. The security situation in northern Kenya remains concerning, with increasing bandit attacks and cattle theft.
