Police release Osun NUJ Secretary, Akindoju

The Secretary of the Osun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Olalekan Akindoju, has been released by the Osun State Police Command after his early morning arrest at his home by operatives from the SCID. Osun NUJ Chairman Adeyemi Aboderin confirmed the arrest and later unconditional release, attributing it to a case of mistaken identity. Police spokesperson DSP Abiodun Ojelabi was investigating the matter prior to the release.
